About Rick Thorne

By trade, I'm a software systems engineer, working user interface and operational concepts issues for
large satellite communications planning systems.  It's not what I would've expected when I first
graduated from college, but I honestly do I love my job.

By preference, I'm a musician and songwriter and producer.  I released a CD of my own music a few
years ago and currently write music and musicals and produce and record people.  This is my true love,
and one day I hope to do this full time (and will if I ever figure out how to make a living doing so).  I have
piles of recording gear that isn't getting nearly as much use as I had hoped.  My partner has been very
good about not reminding me of this.

I also have some really cool people in my life.  I assume these lovely people all hang around because I
cook really well and I might be rich and famous one day.  I'd hate to think they actually have nothing
better to do.  I'm a New England transplant, formerly living San Jose and now living Pennsylvania.  It
seems very possible I will retire here.  If so, I will probably die here too, but that's somebody else's
problem.

As I have learned over the years, there are lots of people named Rick Thorne.  I do ride bikes, but I'm not
stunt biker Rick Thorne.  His web site is
http://www.rickthorne.tv.  You can tell him I sent you, but that's
probably a pointless gesture since he doesn't know me.  I'm very interested in religious history and
theology in general, but I'm not the evangelical whack-job also named Rick Thorne.  I don't know his
web site and wouldn't share it with you if I did know it.  You can find his books at Amazon.Com -
please
don't tell anyone I sent you.

As it evolves, this web site will be an amalgam of both business and personal stuff.  There will be many
changes as it evolves, so stay tuned.

Peace, strength, and good fortune - Rick
